Senior Pastor & Wife
Senior Pastor, George McLean, has been the Pastor of Hosanna Church since 1998. Beginning with a congregation of only 11 people and under his leadership, the Lord has honored and blessed this group of wonderful people with 14 acres of property and continued growth! Pastor George brings a rich background of ministry in the U.S. and overseas to our New Orleans area.
We are now entering the 2nd phase of a building program which will include a new multi-purpose building that will also be used for children’s and youth ministries.
Sonya has served with her husband in many aspects of ministry at Hosanna and is also the Women’s and Girl’s Ministries Director for the State of Louisiana Assemblies of God. Pastor George and Sonya have a great love for people and welcome the opportunity to serve you.

Children's Pastors
The same week Eddie and Elinor started praying for children, the Lord quickly responded. He gave them 60 kids by calling them to Children's Ministry in 2007. Though they had a background in youth ministry, they met a need and became the interim children's pastors. However, God had other plans and quickly gave them a deep rooted desire to work with kids and not just "fill in." They knew children's ministry was God's will for them so they remain the children's pastors of Hosanna Church. They have a great team of volunteers who help make Diverse City Kids Ministries a success. They are firm believers that "Teamwork makes the Dream work."
You'll often see Mr. Eddie in a clown suit or telling a Bible story using gospel illusion. Mr. Eddie is also the Royal Rangers Commander. With his military background in the Marines, you'll find our boys on Sunday night chopping wood, reciting their pledges, climbing up trees, working on a craft, roasting marshmallow, cooking hotdogs, or learning an amazing Bible story that will instill godly virtues in our young men.
Mrs. Elinor is a 2003 graduate of School of Urban Missions with a degree in Biblical Studies. She serves full-time at Hosanna Church as Children's Pastor and Financial Manager as well as assists in other areas of ministry. You'll find Mrs. Elinor excited about Diverse City Kids and above all excited about Jesus!

Church Secretary
Barbara Potter is the newest addition to the Hosanna Church staff. She is gem! She covers our book-keeping and our day-to-day duties. When calling Hosanna Church often times you will be greeted by her. She is a blessing to the Hosanna staff and church and we are certainly blessed to have her on the team!
